21 for 2021 :: Wellness YouTube Channels
Now that it’s a new year, you’re probably in the process of crafting ideas for your New Years resolutions. But whew! What a year 2020 was! I don’t know about you but I’ve never had such a tough time setting intentions.
I still haven’t selected my word of the year yet. Last year mine was explorer because I wanted to explore and try new things and new experiences. Boy oh boy, did 2020 deliver! So I have to pick my word for 2021 VERY carefully! I love the guidance in this 2-part podcast from Tonya Leigh. Check out Part 1 here and Part 2 here.
I do know that I want to stay healthy—emotionally and physically—so that we can travel whenever that’s possible again. And to that end, I am in the midst of my annual January purification program to clean up my food, and I recently took up boxing.
Today, we’re kicking off our 21 for 2021 blog series with a list of YouTube channels dedicated to living a life full of health and wellness. With so much free learning out there, there's really no excuse not to improve your mind and body through different wellness practices!
Ready for some guilt-free binging on YouTube? Here are 21 of our favorite channels ::
1 | Adidas Women :: From guided workouts, daily adventures to mindset and nutrition tips, Adidas Women gives you an exclusive lens to women around the globe using their creativity to change the game. Join their world and create your own journey along the way!
2 | Alo Moves :: Alo Moves brings you on-demand yoga, fitness, and mindfulness for home and on the go. They aim to spread mindful movement, inspire wellness, and create community — because meaningful connections are conducive to a healthy life. And we all need more connection these days.
3 | blogilates :: Cassey Ho is a certified Pilates and Fitness Instructor whose channel, blogilates, is top-rated with over five million subscribers. Through lessons focused on targeted muscle groups and ancillary videos on health and workout tips, Cassey keeps you accountable throughout your wellness endeavors.
4 | Cat Meffan :: Cat Meffan's channel offers viewers free videos on yoga flows that will be sure to energize your body and mind. Every year she sponsors a "yoganuary" that is lots of fun. Her videos range from beginner to advanced, so no matter your expertise, you will be comfortable joining in on the fun!
5 | Downshiftology :: Lisa's channel, Downshiftology, provides users with delicious, wholesome recipes and tips for simple, healthy living. All of her recipes are gluten-free and prioritize fresh, seasonal, whole-food ingredients. She's a great teacher and very down to earth.
6 | Dara Dubinet :: Dara's channel originally provided videos on topics ranging from raw food to Chinese herbal tinctures to decluttering. Nowadays, most of her videos center around healthy dieting through vegan meals and desserts, with a few still covering exciting topics like astro-geography! Last week, she gave Premier Wellness Travel a lovely shout out in her live YouTube Let Intuition and Produce Guide you to Dinner where she shows you how to use collard leaves for “tortilla” wraps. (PWT is mentioned about 30 minutes in.)
7 | Deliciously Ella :: Ella's Youtube channel aims to make plant-based cooking delicious, abundant, and exciting! When she's not cooking, Ella provides free online yoga classes as well (and has a great podcast by the same name.)
8 | Elena Brower :: Elena is a mother, teacher, author, speaker, and Double Diamond leader with doTERRA. Her channel primarily uploads episodes of her podcast, Practice You, which delves into real inquiries surrounding relationships, lifestyle, healing, education, spirit, service, ancient practices, and modern wisdom.
9 | Fightmaster Yoga :: Lesley Fightmaster was the face of popular instructional yoga on Youtube who offered dozens of free yoga classes over the years.

Although she passed away last fall, you can honor her legacy by keeping up with her online lessons.
10 | Food52 :: At Food52, founders Amanda Hesser and Merrill Stubbs hope to inspire people to eat thoughtfully and live joyfully. Check out their multitude of videos trying out new food recipes, with some special guests sprinkled throughout their videos! I've learned a lot of exceptional cooking skills from them.
11 | The Life Coach School :: The Life Coach School, founded by Brooke Castillo, a Master Certified Instructor, inspires individuals to care for their mental health through online content, a podcast, and Self Coaching Scholars. Their "Model" method teaches you how to coach yourself so you can change your thoughts, empower your feelings, and take massive action.
12 | Lululemon :: While primarily known for being an athletic apparel company, lululemon also provides a channel full of yoga tips, ab workouts, mobility workouts, and more — in several different languages! You won't want to miss their growing library of at-home classes!
13 | Pick Up Limes :: Sadia's Pick Up Limes account welcomes foodies, minimalists, travelers, and all other beautiful souls. Her colorful, vegan dishes will leave you watering at the mouth and motivate you to cook them for yourself! Her creative recipes have kept my menus fresh and enticing.
14 | Premier Wellness Travel :: I’d be remiss not to mention our very own Premier Wellness Travel YouTube channel, where many guided meditations are available. (Hit that subscribe button!) A certified yoga therapist and a dedicated meditator for over 19 years, I love crafting these that blend wellness with visualizations of travel! Besides travel design, PWT features complimentary blog posts on other aspects of wellness, bath escapes, and our own PWT Wellness Travel Guide. A Masterclass to Build Better Sleep will be launched in 2021 too.

15 | The School of Life :: The School of Life is a collective of psychologists, philosophers, and writers devoted to helping people lead calmer and more resilient lives. Through their films, online psychotherapy, online classes, and books, the channel wants to help you find serenity and grow more confident in facing challenges. Being British, they are often very witty, which I find very engaging.
16 | Sounds True :: Founded by Tami Simon, Sounds True's mission is to disseminate spiritual wisdom. Check out the channel's playlists ranging from meditation and mindfulness to diversity healing and resilience in challenging situations. Simon is the best interview and very inquisitive.
17 | Tara Brach :: Tara Brach is a leading western teacher of Buddhist meditation, emotional healing, and spiritual awakening. Her channel is a compilation of video offerings, including her popular Wednesday night weekly live stream, hundreds of dharma talks dating back to 2012, and a library of guided meditations. Be sure to check out her "RAIN" method during these extraordinary times.
18 | Tone It Up :: Founded by Karena Dawn and Katrina Scott, Tone It Up is a vibrant community of women who strive to improve their body and soul through workouts, shared recipes, and meditations. Check out their channel for free lessons and their website for more services.
19 | Well+Good :: Well+Good is the premier lifestyle + news destination devoted to covering the wellness scene, ranging from advice and inspiration to tutorials and trend-spotting on the healthy living beat. Discover beauty & fashion tips, fitness training, healthy recipes, life hacks, intel from dietitians and herbalists, and more! It's one of my faves.
20 | Yoga Medicine :: Yoga Medicine is a comprehensive, anatomically-based training system that trains teachers worldwide to individualize yoga programs and work more therapeutically with their students. However, their Youtube videos also provide free tips applicable to the greater yoga community!
21 | Yoga With Adriene :: Yoga With Adriene's mission is to connect as many people as possible through high-quality free yoga videos. She has Yoga for Beginners, a Foundations of Yoga series for newcomers, and more intense lessons for seasoned yoga practitioners.
Honorable Mention -
Leaf TV is another old favorite of mine. They've not uploaded any new videos for a year or so, but their content is so good, I have to give them an honorable mention. Their videos feature which foods are in season (monthly), teach yoga, flower arranging, and a myriad of recipes.
Improving one's well-being is more than just a physical process — it's also a mental, emotional, and sometimes even spiritual undertaking. Hopefully, these 21 different channels can help stimulate your creativity and motivate you to begin tackling those New Year's resolutions for 2021.
