Keep the relaxation going

It’s the moment you dread from the moment your vacation starts to draw to a close - the end of a spectacular trip.
It’s almost time to get back to the grind, and you feel tired just thinking about it.
It doesn’t have to be that way, my friend.

In fact, we can start working on our self care practices right now, while we’re at home.

Luxury today is far less formal and more personalized than in decades past. It could be fine sheets, fine sand, or fine dining… but ultimately, luxury is vitality and well being. That’s what we aim for here at Premier Wellness Travel. Getting healthy through travel, or staying healthy despite travel - and it’s more important today than ever before.

Lately, I’ve been using my blends to evoke exotic lands and mossy forests and more while stuck at home! Do you want to learn how essential oils can change your life and support your health at home and abroad, too?

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW: OILS FOR BEGINNERS

It seems like essential oils are all the rage these days, but like any trend or popular wellness product - it’s important to be careful. Where can you safely purchase them? How do you use them? When do you use them? We’re a click away, and we’re here to help you find your way. I’ve been using oils for three decades, so I know my way around this world.

(Oh, PS: Essential oils are not a trend. They’ve been used since ancient times in food preparations, beauty treatments, and well being practices. They’re concentrated, powerful natural oils that are derived from bark, fruits, berries, flowers, leaves, and seeds - literally every part of a plant.)

How can you use essential oils?

Aromatic

You can experience the goodness of essential oils simply by breathing in the smell. Personally, this is my favorite way to use aromatherapy, as the aromas help me to shift my emotional state. (Dispense a few drops into the palms of your hands, inhale the scent directly from the bottle, or use a diffuser to spread the blend into your home.)

Topical

This is where you need to be very careful with essential oils. To use an oil topically, drops must be diluted in a “carrier” oil… but this can make it MORE effective. (Crazy, right?) Some oils can sting or burn the skin, so use with care and be sure to educate yourself before placing on your wrists, soles of your feet, on your belly, behind the ears, or the back of your neck, or even using in the bath.

Internal

Taking oils internally can help with digestive and immune problems. Simply add a few drops to water or other drinks, or to your food. You can also place drops under your tongue, or use a veggie capsule to encapsulate and swallow the oils. Not all oils are safe for internal consumption - but again, we’re here to help you find your way!

I love you as the plant that doesn’t bloom but carries
the light of those flowers, hidden, within itself,
and thanks to your love the tight aroma that arose
from the earth lives dimly in my body.
— Pablo Neruda (One Hundred Love Sonnets: XVII)
